R+P Post 20: My Music Video Timeline

Having finished our Steal-O-Matic, we believe that the best thing to do now will be to create a timeline for our music video. Whilst the Steal-O-Matic is a useful tool for visualising our idea, it is nevertheless a crude representation of our aspirations for the final product. Furthermore, we were limited in our portrayal of our ideas based on the footage we could find, whereas a timeline will provide a clear structure to our own ideas. Below is the version of the song we will use for reference.
First we made a note of every major change in the song, whether it be the start of a new verse or a repetition in the chorus.

0:13 - SHARING SECRETS
0:24 - TRIP...
0:29 - MAKE A WISH
0:40 - TRIP...
0:45 - CHORUS 1
0:56 - DOWN, DOWN, DOWN
1:12 - GIMME DATA
1:23 - TRIP...
1:28 - CHORUS 2
1:39 - DOWN, DOWN, DOWN 2
1:50 - BRIDGE INSTRUMENTAL
2:01 - THEY PUT OUT THE LIGHTS
2:12 - CHORUS 3
2:23 - DOWN, DOWN DOWN 3
2:34 - CHORUS 4
2:44 - DOWN, DOWN DOWN 4
2:55 - DOWN............

We have grouped all of these into smaller groups and transferred these groupings into a rough timeline:
This visual representation of the song was very useful to us. At a glance, we could see that the first verse was double the length of the second, whereas all of the choruses are pretty much identical. This will help us structure the progression in our video: having a second chorus that is half the length of the first will add a lot to the pacing of the music video, and we can use this to guide our editing.
